I've been drawing since the 1900's. The only courses I've taken were taught in grade school, where it wasn't really technique, it was more representation and feeling (it wasn't a great school, but not a lot were). So anything I learned that made any kind of real difference was on my own, through trial and error, and looking at other art. 

This was before YouTube tutorials, or clearly TikTok and Pinterest. This was like "I'm gonna go to the library and see if they have a book about drawing hands" and they do, kinda, but it's "The Anatomy of The Extremities by L B Jennings" so you just kinda shrug and flip through that for a bit. The hand has way more bones than you'd think, btw. Or less, depending on who you are and how often you consider the human skeleton.I think I consider the human skeleton a normal amount.

But I digress. These birds are less stupid, but only because I've drawn them in a more majestic position than the Stupid Birds Collection. They were also my first self-driven foray into digital art, and because I'm not used to going on YouTube and watching videos about how to do stuff, I failed hard a number of times. But these were alright. 

Furthermore, a clear distinction between these birds and the More Serious ones, is that these are still framed by circles or whatnot, and have sayings or words on them. Less dumb sayings, in my opinion, but I'll allow you to be the judge of that... for now.

I plan on expanding on the collection. I've got a lot of bird sketches I'd be into half-a$$ing.

Off topic, but my favourite how-to video on YouTube is the one about how to pick up a blue chair. Masterful.
