Do you remember, back in elementary school, whole little rubble three-sided holders you could get for pencils? Well you can still get them, but in non-removeable, built in painbrush form.

Friends, rivals and undeclared, I present to you the ergonomic paintbrushes I bought. ✨

Now, these specific ones not of brilliant quality (they're off Temu; I don't have fancy art store money right now, especially for a medium I don't often engage in) but they're definitely easier to hold than a regular paintbrush.

When I went back to see if i could get the link to these specific ones, they were apparently sold out. But I did find something extremely similar on Amazon: "Fine Detail Brushes with Triangular Handles,10 Miniature Brushes"

Please ignore my nails in the final photo. I've had no energy to do anything with them (I'm still in the exact same boat FYI, but they're longer and in the way of everything I do, especially make-up and gripping my pills 😑) I don't do my make-up as often as my online photos would have you believe, but the pill thing happens multiple times a day, and man I wish I had the executive function to just deal with them.

Maybe I'll just let them grow and then make them into sharp talons, which screams goth and feels like an art project. 🤔🖤

But I digress, as I tend to do.

These brushes, despite their questionable bristle quality, are much easier to hold than the other brushes I bought for £3 a bag at The Range. Though, the large flat ones from said bag seem to be okay some days... Maybe Bob Ross was onto something?

I plan to check out the massive clearance sale my favourite art store has going on (online only, which saves me from myself since I don't have to physically go in there and fall victim to the visual siren song that is shelves of fresh, gorgeous sketchbooks... or the bright, colourful Copic wall... my bank account couldn't handle it), so if I find anything on there that works for me I'll give an update.

Pros

Easier to grip
Come in a wide range of brush types, thicknesses, etc
Come in a set, so no more buying one single brush for £8
Does what I need it to do

Cons

These ones can be a bit slippery sometimes
Not GREAT quality, because Temu, but Amazon might be better
So far it's mostly smaller brushes, so if you're looking for something specific (fan brush, etc) you might not find it
